M2i.3025 - 12 bit 200 MS/s up to 4 GBytes memory

The M2i.3025 is based on the new universal M2i card base from Spectrum GmbH the specialist for fast data acquisition cards. The card allows the acquisition of one 12 bit channel with 200 MS/s or two synchronous channels with 100 MS/s. The M2i.30xx series in total has 17 different versions with one up to four synchronous channels and 40 MS/s up to 200 MS/s sampling rate.

Even the standard version is equipped with 64 MBytes (32 MSamples) on-board memory. The maximum on-board memory of 4 GBytes (2 GSamples), which is completely mounted on the cards and doesn’t occupy any additional slot space, allows the acquisition of one channel at 200 MS/s for 10 seconds. When doing slower acquisitions the complete on-board memory can be used as a FIFO buffer and data can be continuously transferred over the PCI-X interface with a transfer speed up to 255 MB/s. The interface is still 100% compatible to standard 32 bit PCI systems.

Due to the completely new developed main control the M2i cards offer a wide variety of application focused features. An example is the Multiple Recording mode, allowing to acquire trigger events with a fast repetition rate. This mode is now matching perfectly all application needs with freely programmable pretrigger and posttrigger, delay trigger, timestamps and an extremely short re-arming time of less than 4 clock cycles. Besides this mode also ABA mode, Gated Sampling, extended trigger and clock modes as well as the easy to program software interface stick out. Using the Star-Hub option up to 16 cards can be synchronized in one system with no phase delay.

The cards of the M2i series are delivered with drivers for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows XP64 and Linux as well as several programming examples. As an option a huge variety of third-party products like LabVIEW, LabWindows, MATLAB, VEE, DASYLab or MS Excel is supported.
