Trigger OR with fast data acquisitionA lot of applications like error monitoring or asynchronous events need an OR connection of several trigger events for realisation. Most time one was limited to slower applications doing this job in software. The MI and MC acquisition cards from Spectrum now offer this feature also in hardware. With this it is per example possible to OR-connect the trigger recognition of the 4 channels of the MI.2031 even at synchronous sampling rates of 100 MS/s. Using the star-hub module it is even possible to OR-connect up to 16 cards in hardware. This feature is included in data acquisition cards ranging from 8 to 16 bit and from 200 kS/s up to 200 MS/s. All cards are delivered with drivers and examples for Windows, Linux, C/C++, Delphi, Visual Basic and LabWindows.
A unique feature of the Spectrum analog data acquisition cards are the possibility to activate a trigger unit on each channel. All of the trigger outputs of the same board are logical combinable with a OR function. Now it is possible to use these feature with all boards into one system to realise multi-channel solutions.
