Fast Bit Streaming Card for PCI, PXI and cPOne critical point when using only a small number of digital channels is the fact that standard products at least use 8 bits or more often even 16 bits data width. This generates a lot of overhead and waists memory and bandwidth if for example only 2 digital channels are of interest. The new bit stream hardware 7005 from Spectrum now offers a unique solution here. Simply using a software command the card can be switched to 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 bit acquisition or generation mode. With the help of an internal shift register the full memory width is used. As a result the acquisition of per example 2 bits of digital data at 100 MS/s only generates a transfer bandwidth of 25 MB/s what can be easily stored continuously to hard disk.
The card, available as PCI, PXI and CompactPCI version, is delivered with drivers and examples for Windows, Linux, C/C++, Delphi, Visual Basic and LabWindows.
