MX.60xx Family

The MX.60xx series offers 4 different versions of arbitrary waveform generators for the CompactPCI bus. With these boards it is possible to generate free definable waveforms on several channels synchronously. There are one or two channels on one board with a maximum sampling rate of 125 MS/s. The internal standard Sync-bus allows the setup of synchronous multi channel systems with higher channel numbers. It is also possible to combine the arbitrary waveform generator with other boards of the MX product family like analogue or digital acquisition boards. With the up to 64 MSample large on-board memory long waveform could be generated even with high sampling rates. The memory could be used also as a FIFO buffer to make continuous data transfer from PC memory or hard disk.

Memory

FIFO Mode: continous data transfer up to 100 MB/s [more...]
Singleshot Output: The programmed memory is generated one time
Continous Output: After trigger event the programmed memory is generated continuously in a loop
Standard memory 8 MSamples
Option memory upgrade to 16 MS, 32 MS or 64 MS on-board memory

Trigger

External Trigger: Input or output of external TTL signal [more...]
Option Multiple Replay: Output of several segments with short dead-time [more...]
Option Gated Replay: Replay controlled by gate signal [more...]

Clock

External Clock: Input or output of sampling clock [more...]
Reference Clock: Used to generate sampling clock [more...]

Extras

Bank Switching: Output of two signals controlled by bank signals [mehr...]
±10 V Amplifier: Extra board with ±10 V output levels and 1, 2 or 4 channels [more...]

PXI Bus

The PXI bus extension offers a lot of pre-defined lines on the backplane for clock and trigger synchronisation between different boards.

The Spectrum card supports these PXI features:

10 MHz Reference Clock: Could be used as base for samplerate generation
Star Trigger: supported as trigger source for the board
Trigger Bus: Direct card synchronisation with the integrated trigger bus
