M2i Synchronisation Star-HubThe Star-Hub is an additional module for all M2i boards. It allows it to synchronize up to 16 boards in one system with no phase delay between them. This option allows it to build multi channel acquisition systems with up to 256 channels as well as to connect input and output boards together or to combine analogue and digital boards.
Even the synchronization of up to 17 systems is possible using special system star-hubs.
Across the star hub clock and trigger information are exchanged between the boards. All connected boards are using the same clock and trigger. One board is defined to be the master board and generates clock for itself and the other boards.
One or even multiple boards can generate a trigger event for all connected boards. It is possible to use the trigger detection of all channels at the same time to trigger the system.
The Star-hub is available as a 5 boards version, not occupying any adjacent slot or as a 16 boards version.
