The FIFO mode is used to record data continuously in the PC memory or on hard disk. Therefore the board memory is divided in two memory channels. The length of the memory channels could be programmed. The data transfer is done by the driver in answer to a hardware interrupt.
Recording of data starts with the trigger event and is running until the stop command is set or an error occurs. The FIFO mode could be combined with Multiple Recording as well as with Gated Sampling.
