Extra I/O Module The extra I/O module offers 24 additional digital I/O and 4 additional analogue outputs to all boards of the MI and MC series. The signals are available on an extra connector. All additional lines are independent of the MI board and could be asynchronuously set at any time. There is an internal version of this option for teh MI series only with 16 digital I/O only. These signals are available at an internal flat ribbon connector.

- Programming of an external pre-amplifier
- Communication with an signal source
- Fine tuning of an external antenna
- Recording of additional enhanced status information of an external instrument
- Test signal routing
